This is the 4rth live action scooby doo movie and the 2nd prequel, in a planned series of 3. It takes place the summer after the first prequel: The mystery begins.

Now..For a straight to TV movie, the mystery begins was a very good movie. I liked it and it got really good ratings on it.

Curse of the lake monster begins with school ending for the group. There going to head to onw of Daphanies resorts for summer jobs to pay off a barn they had destroyed in one of there previous missions. While there, a lake monster begins to cause trouble leaving the group to solve the mystery.

Despite how lame the plot sounds, it's actually a good movie. I absolutly hated the first thirty minutes ( I was complaining on the xat chat), but it started to get really good. There i even a really big plot twist, which if you pay enough attention you can probably guess, because its mall details that give it away. If you dont pay attention, you won't get it, which is okay.

Here is some things to know
- Fred isnt blonde, yea what are you ganna do?
- This movie and the prequel before it acts as if " a pup named scooby doo" never happaned
- It uses alot of the same music from the live action movies that were released in theaters
- shaggy sings a song ( SO ANOYING) its the only musical number though, thank god
- The CGI is kind of out dated but...its a tv movie
- There alot of relationship stuff going on
- It's 2 hours long with commercials.
- fred has his shirt off like the last half of the movie 0.O

so did I like it? Yes, but it' not one of my favorites. It is worth watching though. Blaze didnt like it, so I guess opnions will Vary. I don't think loco liked it ether, but he was complaining about fred not being blonde and the pup named scoody doo thing, but im looking at the movie by itelf.

So Im sure alot of people will disagree but I liked it

I guess it 7 1/2 scratch that, its getting a 6 1/2 the very end killed it, another musical number.

The third film in the prequel series will be released fall 2011
